OpenRoom is an enterprise collaboration solution, based on Alfresco platform, implemented by PGI to provide a product able to replace EMC eRoom.
eRoom was a solution appreciated by its users for the easy usage, the light administrative maintenance, and simple useful features in a collaborative context; but the technological platform on which it was built is definitely obsolete and irrevocably destined for disposal.
OpenRoom is the solution that ensures all the same features you could find in eRoom, but with a greatly improved user experience and within a solid ECM system, without client footprint (no download of plug-ins, no compatibility issues).
OpenRoom offers many custom features, developed on Alfresco Community Edition, extensible and further customizable, according to the Open Source philosophy.
Moreover, OpenRoom bundle contains the possibility to access to the eRoom Migration Services, that allow migrating documents and folder structures, permissions, users and roles, and the content of native files and eRoom links from eRoom to OpenRoom.
