Technology advances faster when academia and industry build together.

Innovation rarely happens in isolation. It emerges where academic research, entrepreneurial thinking and real-world business challenges intersect. This principle is at the core of ZENITH 2026 – International Aerospace Summer School, an international programme organised by Babes-Bolyai University (UBB) through UBB TechTransfer, bringing together students, researchers and industry partners to explore the future of aerospace technologies.

Planet Group International is proud to support this year’s edition as a sponsor, contributing to an initiative that reflects the importance of collaboration in preparing future technology professionals.

Developing skills that extend beyond the classroom

Running from 6 to 31 July 2026, ZENITH 2026 brings together 40 students from Romania, Türkiye, Italy and Azerbaijan for four weeks of interdisciplinary learning, mentoring and applied innovation.

Working alongside university faculty, industry experts and technology companies, participants will develop solutions to challenges in aerospace and advanced mobility while strengthening entrepreneurial thinking, problem-solving skills and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The programme combines technical education with practical exposure through workshops, company visits, mentoring sessions and a final Demo Day where participants present their projects.

Why this matters to PGI

At Planet Group International, we believe digital transformation is ultimately about people.

Technologies such as AI, intelligent automation and enterprise content management continue to reshape industries, but their long-term impact depends on professionals who can combine technical expertise with critical thinking and an understanding of real business problems.

Supporting educational initiatives like ZENITH aligns naturally with PGI’s mission of helping organisations modernise complex operations through technology while contributing to the development of future talent capable of driving innovation across industries.

Investment in technology is important. Investment in the people who will shape that technology is equally essential.

Building stronger connections between academia and industry

One of the defining characteristics of ZENITH is its emphasis on collaboration.

By bringing together universities, technology companies, startups and innovation organisations, the programme creates an environment where ideas move more easily from research to practical application.

This connection between academic excellence and industry experience is increasingly important as organisations seek professionals who can navigate both technological complexity and business realities.

PGI is pleased to contribute to an initiative that encourages exactly this type of collaboration.
